Help bring TEN FIRST DATES
to a London stage!

This March, Ten First Dates will premiere at the Etcetera Theatre in Camden, London, for a limited run of five performances — and we need your help!

Theatre cannot survive on ticket sales alone.

We need to raise at least £750
through crowdfunding.

Your support will allow us to:

  • Pay all artists a London Living Wage

  • Keep ticket prices accessible - theatre is for everyone!

  • Develop and refine the production through a development lab

  • Drive marketing for a sell-out run

Without additional support, development time is reduced and artists absorb unpaid labour — something we are actively trying to change.

We believe all artists should be paid a living wage.

Please be sure to include your email in the payment link’s “Note to Merchant” so we can thank you!

Ten First Dates is a sharp, funny, and deeply human one-act play about modern dating, self-respect, and the slow, surprising work of rebuilding confidence after heartbreak. Etcetera Theatre in London’s buzzing Camden Town has invited us to be a part of their Women Writers Festival this March. With Arts Council Funding, they have offered us five shows with 90% of box office takings and technician support.

Most shows in the festival will operate as a profit share, meaning that actors and directors will be paid nominal sums. However, Gooper Dust Productions is committed to always paying artists Equity rates. This means that even with the support from the Arts Council and a very generous donation from the playwright, we still cannot count on ticket sales to cover costs. Every contribution — whether £10 or £100 — goes directly toward paying the people who bring this story to life.

By donating, you’re not just supporting one show.

You’re supporting:

   •   Fair pay in fringe theatre

   •   Women-led storytelling

   •   New work that takes emotional risks

   •   Artists who deserve to be valued for their craft

If you believe theatre should be bold, funny, and humane — and that artists should be paid for their work — we’d be so grateful for your support.

Thank you for helping Ten First Dates step into the spotlight.
